    •Navigate setbacks when they inevitably arise

    •Access to a computer or mobile device and internet connection.

    •People who are open to talking to a group about their experiences and goals.

  • This program is created and facilitated by Dr. Kelly Becker, DPT. Kelly is a physical therapist who has dedicated her career to empowering people with Parkinson’s to move and live their best lives. She holds numerous Parkinson’s exercise certifications and has provided Parkinson’s health education and resources through the non-profit Synapse Fitness Foundation for the last 7 years.

  • This is a 9-week virtual class. Each week there will be short videos to watch and worksheets to complete that will guide you in creating your Parkinson’s Action Plan. Most weeks you will participate in group or individual coaching sessions with Kelly on Zoom to discuss what you’ve learned, hone your action plan, and share insights. The average weekly commitment is 1.5-2.5 hours.

  • The course will be offered May 1st - July 1st 2025. Group meetings will take place on Tuesday afternoons (Pacific time) and individual coaching sessions will be available on Tuesday and Wednesdays. Exact dates and times will be provided via email after joining the waitlist below.

  • This is the first time that the PDSpark program is being offered and only 1 session is scheduled this year. After its completion we will take feedback from the first group, make improvements, and offer the program again in 2026. (If there is significant interest, a second class may be offered July-August 2025.)

  • This program is designed to be completed with a small group to facilitate group discussions and provide necessary individualized support. As such, there are only 10 spots available. (If a second class is added this year, there will be 10 additional spots available.)

  • In 2025, we are able to provide this program for FREE! This is thanks to previous grants and donations that Synapse Fitness Foundation has received. Next year, there will likely be a fee to cover the costs of the program. Make sure to reserve your free spot this year!
